We would like to talk to you of three different topics: the music, because it's your first specialization; the happiness, because you are creating the impression of a happy man; and prospects - you're in the process of working on a new album, and it means that much events are ahead.

How do you think, now there are musicians who still see the goal to form, to move, to inspire, to change someone?
-> As a musician you have the chance to raise your voice and will be heard, so you can put your finger inside a wound or name a problem and others will listen or focus on a problem for the first time. I think it is a good way to support ideas, or to name problems. I would personally never try to change someone or something but I always try to say my opinion and make this world a better place without stepping on someones toes.

Who or what inspires you? Movies, music, people?
I think I live with my eyes open, so I’ll be inspired by the small thing around me – a person, a book, an intelligent sentence I heard from somewere or someone – I can’t especially name it!

Who is the new German pop stars, in your opinion? Which the music style of the future now? More electro, or more live, or...?
-> At the moment we have different new pop stars. Some oft hem come from the rap side like a guy called Mark Foster, or you have project like Milky Chance. The musical style is not new and I think there was not a real new step in the musical sound within the past years. You have new songs, new bands coming and vanish again, but nothing really special.

As for colleagues on stage. How do you think, they are "competitors" or you're doing the one business? Do you listen to the new things by your "colleagues on stage" sometimes? For example?
-> I live with ears open and I am working as a DJ as well, so I listen to a lot of different styles and sounds.

It was amusing to see the two Kings of Synthpop on the same stage on your anniversary concert in Dresden. Who chose the song for joint performance, Camouflage or De/vision? How did you work with guys? Gonna call them again in future?
-> We were talking to Steffen and Thomas when wem et them on a concert and asked them about the possibility to perform together. We choose the song we thought would fit the best end both agreed. Steffen and I also perfomed as DJs together and we are planing to do more different projects together in the future.

It seems that you are doing what you really like. This is the question of happiness. What makes you happy except the creativity?
-> Friends, family, kids – the normal life.

Camouflage and De/vision (especially live shows) - as the two poles of human sentiments. In your opinion, the nature of the performer (or author) puts a mark (changes) on the creativity?
-> The character of a creative person is forming, or responsable for the result oft he creation – that’s for sure! Every creative person is doing things different, than the other – hopefully...! As life performers our bands are quite different, because of the way we act as individuals – we also have always a drummer and a guitar player with us, which also changes the way of performance. I need to move as much as possible. I need to get into the song, feel it and live it while we play, so my performance is quite more in a move as Steffen who prefers to move mor on one place.

As for the financial side of music today? Previously, it was different. If not a secret, how is today funded by the release of new albums? And should the musicians to have work somewhere else, for just to make money?
-> We can’t live from music sales. It is also difficult to live from live concerts, so it’s better to have some other jobs aside to earn money for life. Today the money you got from the label for a production is not even a tenth part of the budget you got 20 years ago...


And why such long breaks between Camou albums?
-> We always need a long time for the songs and we need the time to earn money for living. We have different focuses so we can’t focus 100% on the music, the whole time...

Are you able to evaluate the talent, the text, the music, but keep distance from about why it was written? (the sense of creativity)
-> It depends on the song. SOmetimes you are more into it and sometimes not – you cant say in general!

Your new song «End of Words», all of us heard the snippet and it is awesome - this is about what...? the name is intriguing...
-> The Song End Of Words is about the speechless we feel when we focus situations like the war in Palestina, or the shotdown oft he plane over the Ukraine, or behaviour of humans in general just in front of your door. We are so often reaching the end of our words and that’s what I’m singing in this song.

How high are you evaluate your own activities today?
-> If we talk about music, then our activities are very high at the moment, because we need to finish the album and prepare the new tour in 2015.

That do you think to do after Camouflage?
-> I will always make music, write songs, lyrics, melodies. I also want to finish my solo project MINE and perform with it live around the world!
